 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE    05 APRIL, 2025   The editors, CP Sani-Omolori appealed for calm as he directed the State Intelligence Department(SID) to initiate a thorough and discreet investigation into the  Dutsen-Tanshi incident. On April 4, 2024, at about 14:45, a concerned citizen reported an incident involving Ahmad Isa Jaja, the Chief Imam of Galli Mosque in the Jahun area of Bauchi Metropolis. During his Friday sermon, the Imam made inappropriate remarks towards the late Malam Idris Abdulazeez Dutsen-Tanshi. This statement incited unrest among the followers of the late Malam Idris, who subsequently gathered at the mosque to express their discontent. In response to the situation, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Police Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, Psc(+) Mni, promptly deployed a team of tactical Units led by the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Dutsen-Tanshi to the location.  I’ve been suffering in silence for two years, Korra Obidi laments


Dancer Korra Obidi has claimed she has been suffering in silence for two years after divorce.

Obidi allegedly suffered acid and a knife during a live session in the United Kingdom. 

Korra explained that she escaped the attack in the best possible way and hoped the inquiry will provide some answers as to who the ringleader of the attack is.

She added that she doesn’t want to wait till the worst happens. 

She wrote: “I escaped with the best possible scenario and this I am grateful. Hoping the investigations will yield some closure as to who the ring leader to all these attacks are.

“I have been suffering in silence for 2 years since divorce. Glad this was LIVE and there is ample evidence. Don’t want to wait till the worse happens and help will finally come.

“This can only be God, Thank you everyone.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
