 WOMAN CRIES FOR HELP AFTER HUSBAND ALLEGEDLY ABANDONED HER IN A LAGOS HOSPITAL AND 'USED MONEY FOR HER CS TO BUY A PHONE AND DOG' A new mum has cried out for help after her husband allegedly abandoned her at the Alimoshso General Hospital in Igando, Lagos State. The newlywed explained that she got pregnant shortly after their wedding and as her due date approached, she developed severe pain and breathlessness and was taken to the hospital where doctors told her she would have to give birth via cesarean section, CS. She said her husband objected and told doctors to discharge her. She alleged that when they got home, he bought herbal concoction for her and asked her to drink it to help her give birth naturally. She said her pain intensified after drinking it and she was rushed to the hospital for the surgery. She cried out for help on Facebook and a kind Nigerian sent her N500,000.  Junior Pope: Actors Guild Sets Up Safety Committee For Members


The President, Actors Guild of Nigeria,  Emeka Rollas, has set up a committee to enhance the safety and welfare of members.


This development follows the boat accident, which claimed the lives of five film practitioners, including popular actor, Junior Pope, on Wednesday.

"In every society there are BUILDERS, DWELLERS AND DESTROYERS. Its important one identifies where one belongs. Over the years in Nollywood many ACTORS have been beaten to submission which is why you find many ACTORS who have featured in over 200 hundred movies and still counting roaming the streets depressed, sick and homeless whereas there counterparts in other parts of the world are reaping the benefits of thier craft.

Today, we have carefully selected these established members to join the BUILDERS category and change this narrative in Nollywood and their names will be written in GOLD in the chronicles of Nollywood.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, National Executive council and the entire membership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria I wish them well in Jesus name.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
