 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Kingmakers nominate next Olubadan of Ibadanland


Oba Owolabi Olakulehin has on Friday been appointed as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.


Olubadan in Council which is the Traditional Kingmakers of Ibadanland agreed to name Oba Olakulehin as the next Olubadan, being the Most Senior High Chief in the Balogun line of Olubadan Chieftaincy Ascension.


He was nominated by the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe.


Recall that the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Dr. Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II died on evening hour of Thursday, March 14 at the University College Hospital (UCH) after a brief illness.


Born on the 18th of October 1942, Oba Olalekan is the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland. He became Olubadan on March 11, 2022.
