 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January.  Nigerian Singer, Korra Obidi Suffers Knee!fe, Ac!s Att^ack During Live-Streaming In UK


Ms Korra Obidi, a popular Nigerian singer and dancer, has revealed how she was attacked with knife and acid while on live-streaming.


The attack, the mother of two said, happened in the United Kingdom, in a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday.


According to her, the attacker was a black woman that is five-foot-tall, and stressed that she has been a target of hateful remarks in the past, noting that the physical assault is a wake-up call.


“Currently in an ambulance to the hospital, there was a knife, acid attack on me in the UK in the middle of a live stream," she explained. "There’s been a lot of hate in the past but this physical assault is a wake up call."

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
