LANDLORD PETITIONS OGUN POLICE COMMISSIONER OVER ALLEGED THREAT TO LIFE BY TENANTS. (PHOTO).

Landlord petitions Ogun police commissioner over alleged threat to life by tenants

… says ‘he’s a drunkard, quarrelsome, fights with me, other tenants’

An Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State based cleric and landlord, Alhaji Abiodun Awojobi, has petitioned the state Commissioner of Police over alleged threat to his life by one of his tenants, Bolaji Banjoko.

Awojobi, in his petition routed through the Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in Igbeba, Ijebu-Ode, alleged that Banjoko had continued to threaten his life always.

He said despite giving the tenant a quit notice, he had continued to boast that he’ll only move out of the house whenever he feels like.

Awojobi, therefore, pleaded with the police commissioner to call Banjoko to order, alleging further that he had continued to threaten him, his family members and other tenants in his house.

His petition stated, “We have gone to Igbeba police station several times to report him and he has always been found wanting as the one to blame everytime we are there. The record is there at that police station.

“Sir, I am pleading with you and seeking your assistance to save my life from this wicked tenant, as he has continued to threaten me always.

“As a law-abiding citizen, I have refrained from taking the laws in my hands because I don’t want a situation where people will begin to see us as birds of the same feathers.

“Sir, I have given him a quit notice, but he keeps bragging that he will only quit my house anytime he feels like quitting.

“Sir, I am begging and pleading with you to, please, help me to use your good offices to call him to order, because my life and those of my family are in danger the more we are still living together with him in the same compound.

“In conclusion, sir, I am now using this medium to passionately plead with you to help me out on this issue because this man has become a serious threat to my family and I as well as the other tenants in the house.”

The landlord further explained that since 2021 when Banjoko moved in, his house had not known peace as the tenant had “practically become a problem to everyone else and at all times.

“He’s a drunkard and an alcoholic and lacks hygiene. His apartment and its surrounding are always very untidy and dirty. He’s also a jerk around other folks, constituting a nuisance to all other occupants of the house.”

Awojobi added, “His frequent disturbances have now become very upsetting to all the other tenants. Whenever other tenants of the compound politely try to discuss or advise him on issues, he will become angry, abusive and start to brag that the timber and caliber in the state are behind him and he can do and undo. He’s always threatening others in the house that he served those now in power in the state during the elections and so he can step on any toes, so long as his godfathers are still holding political offices in the state.”

THREAT TO MY LIFE!

From:

Alhaji Abiodun Awojobi,

Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State

Through:

Area Commander, Nigeria Police, Igbeba, Ijebu-Ode

To:

Ogun State Commissioner of Police,

Ogun State Police Command Headquarters

Dear sirs,

An Open Letter To The Ogun State Commissioner of Police On The Threat To My Life By My Tenant, Mr Bolaji Banjoko

My name is Alhaji Abiodun Awojobi. I’m a cleric and a native of Ijebu Ode, born and bred in Ijebu-Ode.

I am writing this to file a complaint against my tenant, Mr Bolaji Banjoko, a staff of the Ogun State Signage & Advertisement Agency.

Banjoko has been my tenant since 2021, but since then, there has been no peace in that compound as he has practically become a problem to everyone else and at all times.

He’s a drunkard and an alcoholic and lacks hygiene. His apartment and its surrounding is always very untidy and dirty. He’s also a jerk around other folks, constituting a nuisance to all other occupants of the house.

His frequent disturbances have now become very upsetting to all the other tenants. Whenever other tenants of the compound politely try to discuss or advised him on issues, he will become angry, abusive and start to brag that the timber and caliber in the state are behind him and he can do and undo. He’s always threatening others in the house that he served those now in power in the state during the elections and so he can step on any toes, so long as his godfathers are still holding political offices in the state.

What really prompted my writing this to the entire world and the police is that recently, Banjoko blocked the entrance to my house in the evening time with the Ogun State Signage & Advertisement Agency Van and he eventually left the gate of my premises open till day break, without giving me any prior notice. It was while I was preparing to pray in the morning that I met my gate opened. This really scared me beyond my imaginations because we had an argument the previous day. He blocked my car from going out and left my gate open till day break. I noticed that was the easiest way for evil doers to gain entry and attack my compound, premises and occupants.

We have gone to Igbeba police station several times to report him and he has always been found wanting as the one to blame everytime we are there. The record is there at that police station.

Sir, I am pleading with you and seeking your assistance to save my life from this my wicked tenant, as he has continued to threaten me always.

As a law abiding citizen, I have refrained from taking the laws in my hands because I don’t want a situation where people will begin to see us birds of the same feathers.

Sir, I have given him a quit notice, but he keeps bragging that he will only quit my house anytime he feels like quiting.

Sir I am begging and pleading with you to, please, help me to use your good offices to call him to order, because my life and those of my family are in danger the more we are still living together with him in the same compound.

In conclusion, sir, I am now using this medium to passionately plead with you to help me out on this issue because this man has become a serious threat to my family and I as well as the other tenants in the house.

Regards

Your sincerely

Alhaji Abiodun Awojobi ( Oris).
