 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja.  Philip Shaibu: Obono-Obla calls for abolishment of Office of Deputy Governor


Former presidential aide, Okoi Obono-Obla has called for the abolishment of Office of Deputy Governor in Nigeria.

He suggested that, to reduce the cost of governance, the Speaker of State Houses of Assembly should succeed, or stand in for governors, in the event of death or resignation or removal from office.

Obono-Obla spoke while reacting to the travails of Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuiabu, who is facing impeachment.

“I feel sorry for the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Honourable Philip Shuiabu.

“I think the position of Deputy Governor should be abolished by the Constitution. The Speaker of the State House of Assembly should succeed any State Governor.

“This would require a constitutional amendment or alteration abolishing the position of Deputy Governor.”

He explained that since the advent of democratic civil rule in the country, deputy governors have been at the receiving end of the actions of imperialistic and despotic governors in the country.

“As a result, impeachment procedure is always dangling on the hands of deputy governors like the sword of damocles,” he added.

Obono-Obla noted that impeachment is a serious matter, warning that it must not be used as a weapon to blackmail deputy governors.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
