 Obi Cubana Names Biological Son as Next of Kin Amid Adopted Son’s Claim Nigerian businessman Obi Cubana has publicly declared his biological son, Alex, as his next of kin, following a claim by his adopted son, Chidi, on social media. Chidi sparked the controversy with a TikTok post captioned, “Nothing do my shoulder, I just realise say I be next of kin.” In response, Cubana shared an Instagram photo of Alex, captioning it, “Ancient and modern, eyes on the ball. @dtwalx aka next of kin.” He reinforced Alex’s status in a comment on another post, writing, “Correct boy, original next-of-kin.” The public exchange has drawn criticism, with many online accusing Cubana of handling the matter openly rather than resolving it privately with Chidi, fueling widespread debate on social media.

 Police Arrest Two Traffic Robbers Disarming Motorists with Medical Condition


Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested two traffic robbery suspects in Ikeja.

The suspects, Azeez Folarin, ‘m’ aged 23 and Azeez Rilwan ‘m’ aged 27, were arrested at about 7am in front of Ikeja City Mall.


Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects have robbed many motorists of their phones around Ketu and Ojota and had been operating individually in Ketu, before coming together to exploit Rilwan’s chronic pile to rob unsuspecting motorists.


The suspects were arrested by the RRS team stationed at the mall immediately after Folarin snatched the mobile phone of a motorist who was trying to give alms to Rilwan having seen his medical condition. 


While Rilwan was released on bail due to his serious state of health, Folarin has been arraigned.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
