 Reports say Iranian strikes caused billions in damage to US military bases and equipment across the Gulf region Iranian strikes reportedly inflicted billions of dollars in damage on U.S. military bases and equipment across the Gulf region, raising questions about the Trump administration’s disclosure of the full cost of repairs and battlefield losses. According to individuals familiar with the aftermath, the attacks hit runways, radar systems, aircraft, command centers, hangars, warehouses, and satellite communications infrastructure across multiple U.S. and allied installations in the Middle East. The total damage is estimated to reach as high as $5 billion for repairs alone, not including additional losses to weapons systems and equipment deemed beyond repair.  Prioritise education, Jonathan urges new Amnesty boss


Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged the new administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Denis Otuaro, to prioritise education in order to foster development in the Niger Delta region.


Jonathan made the appeal, according to a statement on Saturday, while he hosted Otuaro during a consultative visit to him in Abuja, on Friday.


He said, “You need to focus attention on the education scholarship under the programme to benefit more people in the region.
