 Reports say Iranian strikes caused billions in damage to US military bases and equipment across the Gulf region Iranian strikes reportedly inflicted billions of dollars in damage on U.S. military bases and equipment across the Gulf region, raising questions about the Trump administration’s disclosure of the full cost of repairs and battlefield losses. According to individuals familiar with the aftermath, the attacks hit runways, radar systems, aircraft, command centers, hangars, warehouses, and satellite communications infrastructure across multiple U.S. and allied installations in the Middle East. The total damage is estimated to reach as high as $5 billion for repairs alone, not including additional losses to weapons systems and equipment deemed beyond repair.  Rwanda genocide: International community 'failed us' – Kagame


Rwanda's President Paul Kagame has said that the international community did not act swiftly to avert the genocide of 1994.


Rwandan President Paul Kagame blamed the inaction of the international community for allowing the 1994 genocide to happen as Rwandans on Sunday commemorated 30 years since an estimated 800,000 people were killed by extremists.


Rwanda has shown strong recovery and economic growth in the years since, but scars remain and there are questions about whether genuine reconciliation has been achieved under the long rule of Kagame, whose rebel movement stopped the genocide and seized power.


He has been praised by many for bringing relative stability but vilified by others for his intolerance of dissent.


Kagame led sombre commemoration events in the capital Kigali.
