 GENERAL HOSPITAL BADAGRY PARTNERS NDLEA SEME SPECIAL AREA COMMAND TO COMBAT DRUG ABUSE The General Hospital Badagry has partnered with the NDLEA Seme Special Area Command to strengthen safety protocols on the dangers of drug abuse by individuals in society, preserve the future of all Nigerians and foster peaceful co-existence.    The Medical Director/CEO of Badagry General Hospital, Dr. Oluseyi Adesola disclosed this during his familiarisation visit to the Area Commander, Commander of Narcotics, Njoku Rita Chinyere, in her office on Tuesday at the Seme border.  Dr Adesola, who further expressed his readiness to partner with the NDLEA in safeguarding the health of the populace, commended the organisation for its integrity in combating drug abuse and assured the Commander of his continued support in the area of healthcare.  "We're here to appreciate you for the excellent work that you're doing.  South Africa on high alert after level nine flood warnings


Authorities say gale-force winds wreaked havoc across the province over the weekend, blowing off rooftops and toppling trees.

Drakenstein Municipality can confirm that the South African Weather Services have issued a Level 9 warning for disruptive rain on Monday, 8 April 2024 in the Cape Winelands, which includes Drakenstein.


We are already experiencing strong winds and rain is expected from tomorrow.


Drakenstein Municipality encourage residents and businesses to please take the necessary precautions, and to ensure their homes’ gutters and downpipes are clear from leaves and debris - to prevent obstructions and flooding, and to assist the flow of stormwater.
