 Guinea-Bissau stops vaccine study funded by Trump administration Guinea-Bissau's foreign minister has said his government has stopped a study funded by the Trump administration aiming to evaluate side effects of the life-saving hepatitis B vaccine, including any links to autism. The West African country, one of the region's poorest, has high rates of hepatitis B, and the prospective study had drawn an outcry from scientists and international health bodies because only half the newborns in the trial would get the vaccine at birth. World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus said it was not ethical. Guinea-Bissau last month suspended the trial pending an ethical review. Critics had said it was being used to test theories linking vaccines to autism, long promoted by U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr but contradicted by scientific evidence. STUDENTS OF CKC ONITSHA WON THE WORLD AFFAIRS CHALLENGE 2024- GOV. SOLUDO. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE

 Today, we made another history, breaking a 32 year jinx, as Students of Christ the King College (CKC), Onitsha, won the World Affairs Challenge 2024! The first in the country. 


This victory underscores our commitment to educational reforms in Anambra State. From our merit based recruitment of 5000 teachers, to the free distribution of over 2000 laptops to school teachers in the State, and the totally free basic education we have mainstreamed across all government owned public schools. 


Through the implementation of these disruptive initiatives and allocating vital resources to schools, we have redefined  the pathway for Anambra students to achieve global excellence.


Kudos to the staff and students of the CKC for this remarkable achievement! 


We shall continue to do more.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
