 In a first for Indian Railways, an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has been successfully tested inside a train coach.  The trial took place on Tuesday inside an air-conditioned coach of the Panchavati Express, which runs daily between Manmad in Nashik and Mumbai. This ATM facility is part of a joint effort by the Bhusawal division of Indian Railways and the Bank of Maharashtra. The ATM worked smoothly during the journey, with only minor interruptions when the train passed through the no-network zone between Igatpuri and Kasara, an area known for its tunnels. Despite the short signal losses, the ATM continued to function well and served its purpose. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of the ATM on social media, calling it the first of its kind in India. This unique idea came from a meeting under the Innovative and Non-Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (INFRIS) by the Bhusawal division. The Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Lateef Adebimpe, on Friday, announced that all was set for the coronation of the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Oba Adebimpe made this announcement while speaking with newsmen shortly after members of the Olubadan-In-Council visited the next Olubadan at his private residence at No 1, Cassia Street, Alalubosa Government Reserved Area in the Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Oba Olakulehin, on Friday, made his first public appearance since the death of the late 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, who reigned for two years and died at the age of 81.

Also at the meeting were the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Eddy Oyewole; the Ashipa Olubadan, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi: and Asipa Balogun, Oba Kola Adegbola.

Oba Adebimpe said Oba Olakulehin is hale and hearty, adding that, “It is impossible for the Olubadan-In-Council to nominate Olakulehin as the Olubadan unless we are sure that he is in good condition.

“It has been some time since we have seen our Kabiyesi Olakulehin in our midst. Now, we have been making arrangements for Olakulehin’s coronation ceremony, who is our new Olubadan of Ibadanland.

“We thank God that he is hale and hearty; and very soon, he will ascend the throne of his forefathers. And we will relate what we saw here to our colleagues.”

Meanwhile, the family of the next paramount ruler has begun the distribution of clothes for the coronation.

Our correspondent observed that clothes were distributed to the members of the family and interested members of the public during the visit to his private residence.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
