 Somali PM calls on Somaliland to cut Israel ties, urges reconciliation Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called on Somaliland’s leadership to cut ties with Israel and to resolve disputes with the federal government through dialogue. Barre said relations among Somalis should be addressed through talks rather than confrontation, in remarks during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of North East State. In December 2025, Israel announced mutual recognition with Somaliland, a move strongly rejected by the Somali government as a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and criticised by many countries across the world. “Regarding our brothers in Somaliland, I have nothing new to say. I repeat what we have always said: we call for Islam, brotherhood and Somali unity. These are the things that bind us together,” Barre said, TRT Afrika reported.  15-year-old Jaylen's huge catch has been officially certified as the biggest catch in the state of Ohio! Congratulations, Jaylen!

15-year-old Ohio girl reels in a record breaking catch! 


Jaylen Parker was jugging (using a Clorox bottle and 200 lb test line) on the Ohio River, an activity her and her dad have shared since early childhood. Little did she know she was getting ready to have the fishing story of a lifetime.  


Jaylen pulled in a 101.11 lb blue catfish, an Ohio state record if confirmed by the state! 


Jaylen admits her dad and his friend helped her wrangle in this massive fish. She says she only weighs 10 lbs more than her humongous catch so there was no way she could have pulled it in by herself.

After weighing, documenting and photographing this ancient creature from the depths of the Ohio River she released it back to continue its fish life.
