 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. A 105-YEAR-OLD WOMAN GETS TO RIDE ALONG WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE FOR HER BIRTHDAY. (PHOTO).

 A 105-year-old woman gets to ride along with the fire department and police for her birthday! 


All of the first responders in Plymouth, Minnesota share a special bond with Hootie Wakefield, as she loves her local police and fire department. The entire force has been celebrating her birthdays with her for several years now and the bond keeps getting stronger. For her 105th birthday the town's first responders did something a little more special and let her ride around with them while chatting with her. 


 They also invited her into their fire station for an up close look at their equipment and gear.


Hootie's birthday was in December but the fire department was only able to schedule her birthday wish this week. Hootie says she had a, "fabulous day and that fire truck people are fun." 


The police department fulfilled their ride along wish a couple of weeks prior. Hootie has gotten the royal treatment from all area first responders for her 105th birthday. 


This is a great story and I love seeing communities coming together to celebrate a wonderful generation. 


There is no word on if she found the police or fire fighters more entertaining.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
