 HERDSMEN KILL DRIVER ON HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN TARABA STATE  10th January, 2026      A commercial driver, Mr. Amishe Omeny, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while on a humanitarian visit to a displaced community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The deceased, from Tse Amise after Tseem, was reportedly attacked on Friday within Chanchanji Ward as he travelled to Adokia, a displaced settlement located after Tseem Sabe. He was said to have gone to the area to assist villagers with the transportation of foodstuffs. Sources in the community told Benue Info-pedia, that Omeny volunteered his services as a driver to support residents affected by ongoing insecurity, when he was ambushed and killed by the assailants. The killing has sparked grief and outrage among residents, who described the incident as tragic and senseless.  CULTISM: TIPS FOR RECOGNIZING CAUTIONARY SIGNS IN BEHAVIOR AMONG OUR CHILDREN/ WARDS


Recognizing warning behavior is key to understanding and guiding our children. In this episode, Anambra State Police Command has highlighted some attitudes/behaviors that are seen as a red flag in our children.


Sudden changes in personality for example a person known to be an extrovert suddenly becomes introverted or vice-versa.


Asking questions or engaging in conversations with people and seeking their validation or justification for gangs or groups.


Sudden being afraid and fascination with and bearing of, weapons. 


Sudden urge to seek justice through self-help and making open or subtle threats about avenging a rift. 


Resort to the use of drugs and alcohol to get high, numb pains, and succumb to peer pressure. 


Sudden staying away from home for days and staying late at night.


When your child is always on a longer call than necessary and surfing the internet for ways to cause pain to other people. 


When your child becomes so interested  

in a group of friends especially with particular identification like color, handshakes, and hanging out. 


It is a known fact Nigerians are blessed with vibrant, energetic, and enterprising people full of potential. The potential can only be fully realized in a peaceful, secure environment and Anambra Police Command shall sustain the fight against crime in the State through the advocacy platform of Police Campaign Against Cultism & Other Vices *POCACOV*

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
