 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Father of seven arrested for allegedly abusing eight girls, one boy


A 53-year-old father of seven children, Abdullahi Imman  has been arrested for allegedly s3xually abusing eight girls and one boy between 6 to 11 years at Tayi village area in Minna, Niger state. 

Imman, who is popularly called Abba in the community, said that he lured the children into his provisions shop with biscuits and sweets.

According to him, he normally puts his fingers into their private parts until he is satisfied and promised them more sweets and biscuits if they return again.

Imman said he cannot help himself from involving in the act despite being married with seven children.

“I have been into this act since March, 2024. I cannot stop myself even though I am married with seven children. It is an act I cannot stop even though I have tried,” he confessed. 

The suspect was arrested after reports to the Police at the GRA Police Division. 

The suspect was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Minna for further investigation while the children were taken to hospital for medical examination.
