  NINE PEOPLE ARRESTED AS CULT CLASH ROCKS BENUE BURIAL CEREMONY  PAt least nine suspected cult members have been arrested after a violent clash disrupted a burial ceremony in Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident reportedly led to the destruction of homes and valuables, with several individuals still unaccounted for. Tension gripped parts of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State after a violent clash involving suspected cult groups left properties destroyed and several persons missing. The incident occurred in Abenga, Mbakya, and Mbabur communities during the burial of one Dugeri Terhemen, popularly known as “Black Deal.” According to local sources, the burial ceremony was disrupted by clashes between rival groups, leading to chaos in the affected areas.  Father of seven arrested for allegedly abusing eight girls, one boy


A 53-year-old father of seven children, Abdullahi Imman  has been arrested for allegedly s3xually abusing eight girls and one boy between 6 to 11 years at Tayi village area in Minna, Niger state. 

Imman, who is popularly called Abba in the community, said that he lured the children into his provisions shop with biscuits and sweets.

According to him, he normally puts his fingers into their private parts until he is satisfied and promised them more sweets and biscuits if they return again.

Imman said he cannot help himself from involving in the act despite being married with seven children.

“I have been into this act since March, 2024. I cannot stop myself even though I am married with seven children. It is an act I cannot stop even though I have tried,” he confessed. 

The suspect was arrested after reports to the Police at the GRA Police Division. 

The suspect was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Minna for further investigation while the children were taken to hospital for medical examination.
