 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. FG SETS UP COMMITTEE TO REVIEW VISA PROCESSES. (PHOTO).


 The Federal Executive Council has set up a tripartite committee to review visa processes and make them less cumbersome.


The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, stated this in Abuja while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of this week’s FEC meeting.


He said the committee would work to make it possible for visas to be applied electronically and processed within 24 hours.


Also briefing, the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, said 600 CNG-powered buses would soon arrive in the country to ease transportation and make it affordable.


He also said 30 thousand conversion kits were on their way to sustain the policy and ease the cost of living brought about the government’s economic reforms.
