 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. FG SETS UP COMMITTEE TO REVIEW VISA PROCESSES. (PHOTO).

 The Federal Executive Council has set up a tripartite committee to review visa processes and make them less cumbersome.


The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, stated this in Abuja while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of this week’s FEC meeting.


He said the committee would work to make it possible for visas to be applied electronically and processed within 24 hours.


Also briefing, the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, said 600 CNG-powered buses would soon arrive in the country to ease transportation and make it affordable.


He also said 30 thousand conversion kits were on their way to sustain the policy and ease the cost of living brought about the government’s economic reforms.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
