 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  GOVERNOR UZODIMMA OFFERS THANKSGIVING TO GOD FOR HIS VICTORY AT THE ELECTION TRIBUNAL 



Governor Hope Uzodimma with the people of Imo State, gave thanks to God at the Government House Chapel in Owerri, celebrating their recent victory at the Election Tribunal.


The governor reaffirmed his dedication to fostering prosperity and driving development throughout the state. He assured the citizens that his administration would continue working tirelessly to ensure that every community reaps the benefits of progress and new opportunities.


Present at the church service were the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Lady Mrs. Chinyere Ekomaru PhD, Chief of Staff Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, and other government officials and dignitaries.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
