 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has penned an heartfelt note to the speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen.


 reported early this month that Eniola Badmus has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Speaker of The Federal Republic of Nigeria on Social Events and Public Hearing.


Now confirming her appointment via her Instagram page, Eniola appreciated Abbas for the political appointment as she expressed how honored she is to be given such opportunity to serve under his leadership. She appreciated him for the confidence he placed on her.


Eniola stated that the appointment is not only a significant milestone in her career but also a chance to contribute meaningfully to their shared goals and vision.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
