 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.   LADY STABS HUSBAND TO DEATH IN MAKURDI



A lady, identified as Torkwase kpile has allegedly killed her husband, Mr. Igbah Kpile over a disagreement over sex in  Achusa Village, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State.


Torkwase, 29, and her husband, 37 has been in marriage for only two months before the incident happened in the early hours of sunday.


According to a source in the Area who spoke on Monday with newsmen , the couple went into an argument over sex before the lady picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Igbah in the neck. 


Torkwase was said to have gone on to stab igbah in several other parts of his body before he collapsed.


When the neighbours heard Igbah,s scream, they rushed into the house and met him in a pool of his blood with the wife standing unremorseful and even more angry, in her words because the husband was disturbing her for Sex.


They rushed him to a nearby Clinic in Makurdi but he died before they could get to the hospital.When the neighbours arrived at the hospital the doctor on duty confirmed that he was brought into the hospital dead.


A source in the Area disclosed to newsmen that Torkwase was seen in the Area  Running away after the incident. meanwhile, the  Police was contacted and investigations are ongoing it was later disclosed that Before the arrival of the police at the scene, the suspect had fled to an unknown destination, meanwhile effort has being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspect.
