 El-Rufai’s Eye Condition Worsening In ICPC Custody, Aide Alleges The media aide to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has expressed concern over what he described as the worsening eye condition of his principal while in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Adekeye also accused the anti-corruption agency of failing to provide El-Rufai with adequate medical care despite repeated complaints about his health. In a statement issued on Friday, Adekeye said the former governor had reported symptoms including swollen, red, and itchy eyes while in detention and had requested medical attention. According to him, family members who visited El-Rufai noticed the condition and alerted ICPC officials, urging them to allow him access to medical treatment.  Three burnt to death in Lagos auto crash


Three persons were burnt to death in a road accident that occurred on Sunday at Mandilas Bus Stop, Iyana Isolo, Lagos.

Ths Lagos State Emergency Agency through its Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu provided an update about the incident.

He said: ” Upon arrival at the scene at 11:38 pm, an accident involving a Mercury Benz SUV with an unknown registration number and a truck conveying a 40 foot container was encountered.

“A preliminary investigation carried out upon arrival at the scene revealed that the SUV collided into the truck due to over speeding. The impact of this collision resulted in a fire outbreak from the car engine.

“Unfortunately three adult male inside the car were all severely burnt and died due to the impact of the collision.

“Responders at the scene of the incident include the Agency’s response team, LRU Fire unit, Lagos State Fire Service, SEHMU LASTMA, Nigeria Police and LASAMBUS.

“Recovery of the accidented containerized truck and car with the aid of the Agency’s heavy duty equipment equipment Crane, Lowbed and Super Metro while the Flatbody and the carcass of the burnt car were towed to the Lastma yard.

“Extrication of the three burn victims trapped inside the car with the aid of the light rescue equipment was carried out and the remains were subsequently bagged and handed over to SEHMU for onward transfer to the morgue”.
