 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award.  Why I prostrated to greet IBD Dende – Teni


Afrobeats singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni has explained the reasons for prostrating to greet popular businessman and socialite, Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, aka IBD Dende, on a plane recently.

Following Teni’s action, netizens criticised her for also sharing the video prostrating to greet IBD Dende.

Most of the commentators slammed her for associating with IBD Dende despite smuggling allegations against him.

Reacting on Saturday morning, Teni explained that she wasn’t aware of any criminal activities associated with IBD Dende, adding that the businessman showed her kindness in 2014 before she hit stardom, making her hold him in high esteem.

She noted that she does not support criminals.

She wrote: “[I] Met IBD [Dende] in 2014 and he was so good to me, even before I blew up. So when[ever] I see him, it’s always love.

“I honestly had no knowledge of any criminal activities associated with him. I do not support criminals, so let the law take its course.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
