 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. An aide to the governor of Delta state, Ossai Ovie Success, has knocked singer Paul Okoye, for wearing a cap while being prayed for at his wedding introduction which held in Abia state a few days ago. Earlier today, Paul shared the photos from his introduction to his woman, Ifeoma's family. In one of the photos, Paul was wearing his red cap while being prayed for. In a post shared on his Facebook page, Ossai said this smacks of disrespect to the elderly man that was praying for him. Ossai wrote


‘’This is a total disrespect for the elder praying .


An elder is praying for Rudeboy of P Square during his traditional marriage days back and he is putting on cap.


Out of respect for the elder and his prayer , he ought to have pull off his cap while receiving prayer . The man is not just an elder but an inlaw to him.


Young guys of nowadays lack respect because of money in their possession. This is disrespect to the elder , his prayer and also to culture.''

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
