 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja. 7 YEAR-OLD BOY DIES IN A IN-HOUSE SWIMMING POOL, IN THE CARE OF FOSTER PARENTS. (PHOTOS).

 Springfield, Illinois- Barrett Koches, a 7-year-old foster child, passed away while in the care of David and Mike Yankee. The foster parents had an ingrown pool that was uncovered and full of black water. Barrett was home with two other small children without any adult supervision when he fell into the pool and passed away. 

For everyone asking, there have been no charges at all placed against David or Mike Yankee. DCFS is not charging them with any child endangerment, abuse or neglect charges. They are continuing to allow David and Mike to be a licensed foster home. 

If it was any of us that left minor children at home alone and one passed away, we would be arrested and charged. 

I do not understand why DCFS is closing their eyes and pretending this isn't a serious infraction. I will not settle for Barrett getting absolutely no justice when he had so much life ahead of him. A FedEx driver had to call 911 and try to retrieve Barrett from the pool while holding back a 4 and 10 year old so they would also not to be injured. 

This is an injustice of the highest degree.

I marked out sensitive information in the FOIA statement but they are 100% not holding David or Mike accountable whatsoever and are not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that they are standing behind them.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
