  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. 8-YEAR-OLD BOY LOSES HIS LIFE SHIELDING HIS MOTHER FROM A BULLET FIRED BY HIS FATHER. (PHOTO).

 A heroic 8-year-old boy loses his life shielding his mother from a bullet fired by his father.

The couple's four other small children were present in the home at the time.


This incident took place Wednesday, June 5th, in Burnsville, Minnesota.  On that evening, 8-year-old Amir Harden was struck with rounds in his head and neck while trying to keep his father, 30-year-old Danair Harden, from shooting his mother Cherish Edward's.


Cherish Edwards (mom) says she screamed for the boy to leave, but he refused and was adamant in protecting her. Although he was not the intended target, Amir was struck and sacrificed himself in defense of his mother. 


Amir clung to life in a local hospital until passing away from his injuries on Sunday.


Danair had only just been released from jail in connection to a May 30th attack on the mom, Cherish.


 Danair turned his weapon on himself after what he did to his son. He has been hospitalized in critical condition since the incident. Officials say if he survives he will be held accountable for what he has done.


Cherish had this to say about brave little Amir, "He was a leader and protector of his siblings. He was my biggest cheerleader, everyday when I would leave for work he'd say 'have a good day , love you mommy'".


Our thoughts are with the family of this brave little man as they deal with this loss.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
