 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack. 8-YEAR-OLD BOY LOSES HIS LIFE SHIELDING HIS MOTHER FROM A BULLET FIRED BY HIS FATHER. (PHOTO).

 A heroic 8-year-old boy loses his life shielding his mother from a bullet fired by his father.

The couple's four other small children were present in the home at the time.


This incident took place Wednesday, June 5th, in Burnsville, Minnesota.  On that evening, 8-year-old Amir Harden was struck with rounds in his head and neck while trying to keep his father, 30-year-old Danair Harden, from shooting his mother Cherish Edward's.


Cherish Edwards (mom) says she screamed for the boy to leave, but he refused and was adamant in protecting her. Although he was not the intended target, Amir was struck and sacrificed himself in defense of his mother. 


Amir clung to life in a local hospital until passing away from his injuries on Sunday.


Danair had only just been released from jail in connection to a May 30th attack on the mom, Cherish.


 Danair turned his weapon on himself after what he did to his son. He has been hospitalized in critical condition since the incident. Officials say if he survives he will be held accountable for what he has done.


Cherish had this to say about brave little Amir, "He was a leader and protector of his siblings. He was my biggest cheerleader, everyday when I would leave for work he'd say 'have a good day , love you mommy'".


Our thoughts are with the family of this brave little man as they deal with this loss.
