 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. 8-YEAR-OLD BOY LOSES HIS LIFE SHIELDING HIS MOTHER FROM A BULLET FIRED BY HIS FATHER. (PHOTO).

 A heroic 8-year-old boy loses his life shielding his mother from a bullet fired by his father.

The couple's four other small children were present in the home at the time.


This incident took place Wednesday, June 5th, in Burnsville, Minnesota.  On that evening, 8-year-old Amir Harden was struck with rounds in his head and neck while trying to keep his father, 30-year-old Danair Harden, from shooting his mother Cherish Edward's.


Cherish Edwards (mom) says she screamed for the boy to leave, but he refused and was adamant in protecting her. Although he was not the intended target, Amir was struck and sacrificed himself in defense of his mother. 


Amir clung to life in a local hospital until passing away from his injuries on Sunday.


Danair had only just been released from jail in connection to a May 30th attack on the mom, Cherish.


 Danair turned his weapon on himself after what he did to his son. He has been hospitalized in critical condition since the incident. Officials say if he survives he will be held accountable for what he has done.


Cherish had this to say about brave little Amir, "He was a leader and protector of his siblings. He was my biggest cheerleader, everyday when I would leave for work he'd say 'have a good day , love you mommy'".


Our thoughts are with the family of this brave little man as they deal with this loss.
