 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. A RARE SITATUNGA ANTELOPE DIES AFTER CHOKING ON A PROHIBITED FOOD PACKAGE AT A TENNESSEE ZOO. (PHOTO).

 A rare Sitatunga Antelope dies after choking on a prohibited food package at a Tennessee zoo.


A Sitatunga Antelope named Leif, passed away Saturday at Bright's Zoo after choking on a container for squeezable apple sauce. 


David Bright, the owner of the zoo, says Leif was very people friendly and curious.  He said if someone threw or handed him something he would check it out. 


Zoo staff noticed he was in distress and had a vet at the facility within 20 minutes, despite their best efforts to remove the package from his throat, Leif passed away.


Bright went on to say that this was the very reason for food restrictions within the park. He reminded everyone there are designated picnic areas for guests to enjoy snacks.
