 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said. ABBA KYARI RECEIVED A WARM WELCOME FROM HIS FAMILY MEMBERS AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM DETENTION. (PHOTO).

 The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has received a warm welcome from his family members after being released from detention.


Kyari was released from the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory after spending 27 months in detention.


He was arrested on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Kyari was detained over alleged connections to an international drug cartel.


Kyari was seen in the company of his family members, with a design on the wall that reads, “Welcome back.”


Kyari, along with four members of the Police Intelligence Response Team—Sunday Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba, and John Nuhu—was arraigned on March 7, 2022.
