 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. ABBA KYARI RECEIVED A WARM WELCOME FROM HIS FAMILY MEMBERS AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM DETENTION. (PHOTO).

 The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has received a warm welcome from his family members after being released from detention.


Kyari was released from the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory after spending 27 months in detention.


He was arrested on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Kyari was detained over alleged connections to an international drug cartel.


Kyari was seen in the company of his family members, with a design on the wall that reads, “Welcome back.”


Kyari, along with four members of the Police Intelligence Response Team—Sunday Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba, and John Nuhu—was arraigned on March 7, 2022.
