The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered).  Cholera outbreak: Four things you need to know about this infectious condition 

 

1. Cholera is an infectious condition caused by the ingestion of contaminated food and/or water which can lead to dehydration and even death if untreated.

 

2. While most people do not show symptoms, they can however transmit it. 

 

2. Symptoms of cholera includes severe stooling and vomiting. 

 

3. Cholera is not airborne and can’t be contracted through casual contact with an infected person. It is derived from contaminated fruits (mostly unpeeled) and vegetables, fresh or undercooked food(s), fresh juice and drinks. 

 

4. Cholera can only be managed in a hospital, so anyone showing the symptoms should be taken to the nearest hospital.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
