LagFerry Boat Catches Fire on Lagos Waterways, Passengers Injured A LagFerry boat, Igbega Eko, caught fire while en route to Victoria Island, injuring four passengers. The incident occurred at around 6:45 AM at Ipakodo Ferry Terminal, Ikorodu. Passengers scrambled for safety as the boat suddenly exploded and caught fire. The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) responded swiftly. LASWA confirmed that the fire was quickly contained, with four passengers sustaining minor injuries and receiving medical attention. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. LASWA assured the public that safety measures are in place, and ferry operations continue as scheduled. Watch video below.

 EPL: Ex-Arsenal player, Kevin Campbell is dead


Arsenal on Saturday confirmed that their former player, Kevin Campbell, has died aged 54.


Campbell played as a striker for the Gunners, Nottingham Forest and Everton.


During his almost 20-year career, he scored 148 goals in 542 club games.


ā€œEveryone at Everton is deeply saddened by the death of our former striker Kevin Campbell at the age of just 54.


ā€œNot just a true Goodison Park hero and icon of the English game, but an incredible person as well ā€“ as anyone who ever met him will know. RIP, Super Kev,ā€ an Everton statement added.


After ending his playing career in May 2007, Campbell went on to enjoy a successful media career.
