 FRSC CONFIRMS FATAL CRASH THAT KILLED 12 VICTIMS AT GADA BIYU ALONG YANGOJI–ABUJA CORRIDOR The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has confirmed a fatal multiple vehicle road traffic crash that claimed twelve lives at about 1145hrs on Sunday, 11 January 2026, at Gada Biyu, along the Yangoji–Abuja (YGJ–ABJ) corridor. According to a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Segun Ogungbemide, The crash involved four vehicles: one commercial trailer conveying coal, one commercial bus, and two commercial cars.  Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident could have been caused by speed violation and dangerous driving which led to loss of control. Further information gathered indicated that the truck driver was driving at an excessive speed beyond the legally prescribed limit for the corridor, lost control, and crashed into already parked vehicles, triggering the fatal collision.  Abiodun Commiserates With Ifonyintedo Community Over Demise Of Oba Adesiyan


The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commiserated with the family members, people of Ifonyintedo and the entire Ipokia Local Government over the demise of the Olu of Ifonyintedo, HRM, Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1).


Oba Adesiyan joined his ancestors on Sunday, 16 June, at the ripe age of 95.


Governor Abiodun, in his condolence message, described the late monarch as a leader who was loved by his people.


The governor said the reign of the late monarch was eventful as the Ifonyintedo community witnessed unprecedented development.


"It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1), the Olu of Ifonyintedo. At the age of 95, Oba Adesiyan has left an indelible mark on his community as a respected leader and a guiding force.


"Oba Adesiyan dedicated his life to the service and development of Ifonyintedo. During his long reign, he worked tirelessly to promote the wellbeing and progress of his people. His wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his community will be greatly missed.


"I extend our heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Ifonyintedo Council of Chiefs, and the entire Ifonyintedo community," the statement said.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
