 African Airlines record 5.7% decreased demand for air cargo in February — IATA African airlines recorded a 5.7% year-on-year decline in air cargo demand in February 2025, with capacity decreasing by 0.6% in the same period. Capacity, measured in available cargo tonne-kilometers (ACTK), dropped by 0.4%, although international operations saw a 1.1% increase. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) report showed that global capacity decreased by 0.4%, with international operations showing a slight increase of 0.4% in demand. Globally, air cargo demand fell by 0.1% compared to February 2024, marking the first decline since mid-2023. “African airlines saw a 5.7% year-on-year decrease in demand for air cargo in February. Capacity decreased by 0.6% year-on-year,” the report read in part. Renowned Nigerian relationship counselor, Blessing CEO, has shared insights into her early life, revealing that she started dating and having marriage experiences very early in life.

She spoke during an appearance on the ‘ThisIsPop’ podcast.

Reflecting on present-day marital challenges, Blessing noted the shift towards hasty unions, contrasting with the traditional thoroughness preceding marriages in the past.

Recalling the customary practice of family inquiries before marriage, she noted its reduction in modern times.

Blessing also delved into the issue of parental neglect, observing how it often compels young girls to seek love elsewhere.

Drawing from her own life, she disclosed how a lack of parental love prompted her to start dating at the tender age of 15, culminating in marriage at 18 — an experience that later led to divorce.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
