  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher. IGP REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SAFETY, SECURITY, ORDERS ENHANCED DEPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL, RESOURCES FOR EID-EL-KABIR



As IGP Extends Warm Wishes for a Happy, Peaceful Sallah to Muslim Umma


The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu EGbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has assured the general public of the Nigeria Police Force’s sustained efforts in tackling crimes and enhancing public safety and security across the country. This assurance comes as the IGP directed Commissioners of Police (CPs) in all the States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), along with their supervisory Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), to strategically configure the security architecture in their Areas of Responsibility (AoR) for robust and responsive policing ahead of the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.


The IGP has mandated Zonal AIGs and State Command CPs to deploy human and operational assets to conduct confidence-building and crime prevention patrols on major highways, in residential and industrial areas, at vulnerable points, places of worship, other public recreational places, and around all critical national infrastructure. These operations are to be conducted professionally, without harassment or extortion, ensuring respect for the fundamental rights of citizens. Personnel deployed are to perform their duties with discipline, professionalism, decorum, and alertness.

The IGP extends his warmest wishes to all Muslim Umma as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir praying the festive season brings peace, joy, and prosperity to all while assuring of the commitment of the Force to ensuring that everyone celebrates in a safe and secure environment. He also emphasizes that the Force would harness all available assets, including collaborating with relevant groups, associations, sectors, and synergizing with other security agencies to enhance service delivery and stabilize general security within the nation.
