 Colombian singer-songwriter Yeison Jiménez died Saturday, January 10, in a plane crash near Paipa, in the state of Boyacá in Colombia.  He was 34. The crash claimed the lives of six people, including Jiménez and his manager, Jefferson Osorio. The charter aircraft took off from Juan José Rondón Airport but was unable to gain altitude and crashed in a field near the runway, where it was destroyed by fire. The artist had just performed in Boyacá and was flying to Medellín for another scheduled performance that evening. At only 34 years old, Jiménez had become one of the biggest names in Colombian popular music, or "música popular," a genre that blends traditional Mexican ranchera music with Colombian roots.  “I’m getting old”, Nkechi Blessing expresses readiness for marriage


Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has announced her readiness for marriage, citing the recent weddings of Davido and Sharon Ooja as inspiration.

She expressed her desire on Instagram to tie the knot, jokingly seeking suggestions for her wedding hashtag with her boyfriend, Xxssive.

Nkechi acknowledged feeling pressure and panic as she gets older, but emphasised that love is beautiful and sweet. 

“On the 25th was Chivido, yesterday was cråzy about us. Me I just dey here they think, shey na ExcessLove, XxBlessing, or Nkechi is XX, or Xxssive is Blessing.

“I don ready. I be no ready before. Dey will pressure you no panic, I panic. The pressure is much, love sweet o. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise, love is a beautiful thing. Look at their smile.

“It’s like I am ready now make una suggest hashtags abeg and the best designer for my dresses. The pressure don finally hook me for neck, and I don dey old”, she wrote on Instagram.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
