 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers.  OGSG DEBUNKS ONLINE RECRUITMENT ADVERT



Ogun State government has debunked an online recruitment advert attributed to the state Civil Service Commission.  


A press release, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Roseline Oluwatoyin Jacobs, on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, stated that the said online advert was reported to have called on prospective applicants to apply for various vacancies in the state’s Civil Service.


It emphasised that the publication was a mischief, perpetrated by some unscrupulous individuals, bent on maligning the image of the state government, stating that the Commission would not recruit via online but through its headquarters at Block A, New Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.


 The release enjoined the general public to be wary of such propaganda and disregard the online publication in its entirety, in order not to fall victim.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
