 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  OGSG DEBUNKS ONLINE RECRUITMENT ADVERT



Ogun State government has debunked an online recruitment advert attributed to the state Civil Service Commission.  


A press release, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Roseline Oluwatoyin Jacobs, on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, stated that the said online advert was reported to have called on prospective applicants to apply for various vacancies in the state’s Civil Service.


It emphasised that the publication was a mischief, perpetrated by some unscrupulous individuals, bent on maligning the image of the state government, stating that the Commission would not recruit via online but through its headquarters at Block A, New Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.


 The release enjoined the general public to be wary of such propaganda and disregard the online publication in its entirety, in order not to fall victim.
