 ‘It’s fallacy’ — NDC rep chides Oshiomhole over remark on Obi’s security record as governor Afam Ogene, a member of the house of representatives, has described a recent remark by Adams Oshiomhole, senator representing Edo north, against Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), as “fallacy”. In an interview on Seun Okinbaloye’s podcast, Oshiomhole said Edo was safer when he was governor than Anambra was during Obi’s administration. The senator was the governor of Edo from 2008 to 2016, while Obi governed Anambra between 2006 and 2014 before handing over to Willie Obiano. In a statement issued on Monday, Ogene, who is the leader of the NDC caucus in the house of representatives, said Oshiomhole’s comments are “brazen falsehood and deliberate misinformation”. “Senator Oshiomhole’s revisionist attempt to rewrite history is both laughable and insulting to Nigerians who know the facts. In a lawsuit, a former protégée of Terius Gesteelde-Diamant says he entangled her in an abusive relationship. Mr. Gesteelde-Diamant called the allegations “untrue and defamatory.”.

ACCORDING TO ANOTHER SOURCE:

Yikes! Producer and musician #TheDream has been accused of raping, physically abusing and manipulating former protégé Chanaaz Mangroe in a new lawsuit.


According to the lawsuit, Mangroe claims she was trafficked using a disguise of a legitimate recording and distribution contract. The suit alleges that the contract turned  into an “abusive, violent, and manipulative relationship filled with physical assaults, violent sexual encounters, and horrific psychological manipulation.”


“In both Atlanta and Los Angeles, Dream used his age and influence in the industry to manipulate the young artist into believing that she needed him to be successful, and roped her into his world through false promises to gain Ms. Mangroe’s complete trust,” the lawsuit claims.


Mangroe claims the Grammy-winning producer promised her he would extend her visa, “write blockbuster songs for her if she became part of his so-called ‘sanctuary,’ like he did for Beyoncé and Rihanna” and told her she would open for #Beyonce’s tour.


She goes on to allege that he would force her to drink alcohol by pulling her by her hair and pouring it down her throat, as well as frequently strangling her during violent sex. She says he would repeatedly rape her and force her into sex acts, which she claims were recorded and used to threaten her into silence.
