  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher.  8 children rescued from ghastly accident in Kogi


Eight school children have survived a ghastly motor accident in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.


Eyewitness account told newsmen that the children are pupils of Kingdom Heritage Nursery and Primary School Lokoja.


It was gathered that the children were returning from school when the sad incident occurred on Thursday at the popular Lokongoma market in Lokoja.


It was further gathered that a heavy-duty truck carrying a container load fell on two small vehicles which trapped the Children.


Through the combined effort of the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and other relevant agencies, the children were rescued.


The Kogi State Security Adviser Commodore Jerry Omodara Rtd. who was on ground to ensure the rescue of the school children confirmed this to newsmen on Thursday.


As of the time of filing this report, efforts are still in place to ensure that the truck is evacuated from the road to ensure free flow of traffic.
