 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.   Abia State University Announces One-Week Lecture-Free Period Amid Nationwide Protest


In response to the planned nationwide protest set to begin on August 1, 2024, Abia State University has announced a one-week lecture-free period to ensure the safety of its staff and students. The announcement was made by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, and communicated in a letter dated July 31, 2024.


The Senate of Abia State University has approved the lecture-free week, effective immediately from July 31, 2024. This decision is intended to allow students ample time to prepare for the upcoming 2023/2024 First Semester examinations, which are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.


The university has also advised all staff and students to avoid unnecessary travel during this period to ensure their safety.


The letter was signed by Dr. Acho Elendu, the university’s Registrar, who urged the university community to adhere to the guidelines provided.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
