 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Bandits Invade Southern Kaduna Community, Injure Three, Abduct 21

According to reports, bandits invaded Akwando village in the Kachia Local Government Area at approximately 1:00 AM, causing significant harm and distress among the residents.


Three individuals, Adamu Maiwada, Taku Dan'asabe, and Ango Kingsley, sustained injuries during the attack.


Additionally, 21 people were reportedly abducted and taken to an unknown destination.


The assailants also set fire to the residence of Mr. Shehu Maiwada, adding to the devastation.


There has been no contact or information regarding the whereabouts of the abducted individuals, as at the time of filing this report. 


The community remains in a state of anxiety and uncertainty as they await further developments.
