 Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation.  BENUE: NEVKAA INSPECTS STUDENTS FLOODED AREAS, CALLS SEMA FOR INTERVENTION 



The Principal Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Youth and Students Affairs, Hon. Nevkaa Jacob Ternenge, has called on State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to come to the aid of students affected in last night heavy downpour that flooded some parts of Makurdi metropolis. 


Hon. Nevkaa made the call when he visited the State Emergency Management Agency to intimate the Agency of the havoc caused to students of Benue State University, Makurdi as a result of flood.


The Benue Youth and Students Boss shortly after he paid an on-the-spot assessment visit to students areas called on SEMA to intervene swiftly to caushion the effect of the disaster by donating food items to students and residents of the affected areas.


Responding on behalf of the Executive Secretary, the Administrative secretary Mr Donald Kongbenda, assured that plans were in the pipeline to donate food items to students and residents of the affected areas and promised to make known the demands to the Executive Secretary of the Agency for necessary action.


A man with Benue youth and students at heart was under rain conducted round flooded areas by Rt Comr. Emmanuel Kundushima Om, NUBESS National President to witness the scene.


Nevkaa while addressing students and residents affected advised them to device temporary measures to control the menace of flood in their areas as they await government intervention.


The NUBESS president commended Nevkaa for his prompt response and assured him of the support of NUBESS to Benue State Governor, His Excellency, Rev Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, at all times stressing that students have not had it so good in the previous administration.


Also speaking, a Landlord Mr. Joseph Wuese Saaka lamented the devastation caused by the rain and called for government intervention even as he commended Nevkaa for coming under rain to see.
