 Bandits Kill Farmer In Kajuru Community Armed bandits have killed a farmer, identified as Baba Bala, in Kasuwar Magani, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The victim, popularly known as Sarkin Daji, was reportedly attacked and killed while working on his farm on Sunday. A resident of the community, Mansur Ibrahim, confirmed the incident, noting that the deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites. He expressed concern over the worsening security situation in the area, saying residents were increasingly worried about the persistent attacks by armed groups. “This is one of several incidents recorded in the area. Residents are urging authorities to strengthen security and protect lives and property,” Ibrahim said. Kajuru and several communities across the North-West have continued to experience attacks by bandits, who often target farmers, impose illegal levies, and carry out kidnappings, forcing many residents to abandon their farmlands.

 Beyoncé introduces Team USA at 2024 Paris Olympics


American singer, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony broadcast on NBC Friday night, as she introduced several American athletes.

The ‘Drunk In Love’ hitmaker donned a red, white and blue ensemble, including a ‘USA’ leotard and a billowing cape, along with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.

“Get a look at America, y’all,” Beyonce began, as her hit song ‘Ya Ya’ from her most recent album, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ played in the background.

“These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us. The people of this big, bold, beautiful, complicated nation. All rooting together for them.”

She shouted out a few members of the team — Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky.

“That pride and that joy? That’s what gets me about this team. And that’s what makes me believe in this team. And that’s why I can’t wait to see what they pull off over these next 16 days. America, give it up for Team U.S.A., the very best of who we are. What a vision to behold. What a team to believe in. What a night to celebrate,” she added.
