 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  Beyoncé introduces Team USA at 2024 Paris Olympics


American singer, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony broadcast on NBC Friday night, as she introduced several American athletes.

The ‘Drunk In Love’ hitmaker donned a red, white and blue ensemble, including a ‘USA’ leotard and a billowing cape, along with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.

“Get a look at America, y’all,” Beyonce began, as her hit song ‘Ya Ya’ from her most recent album, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ played in the background.

“These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us. The people of this big, bold, beautiful, complicated nation. All rooting together for them.”

She shouted out a few members of the team — Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky.

“That pride and that joy? That’s what gets me about this team. And that’s what makes me believe in this team. And that’s why I can’t wait to see what they pull off over these next 16 days. America, give it up for Team U.S.A., the very best of who we are. What a vision to behold. What a team to believe in. What a night to celebrate,” she added.
