 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye Not Sacked — Kperogi


Contrary to widespread speculation on social media, Seun Okinbaloye, a prominent anchor with Channels TV, has not been fired from the station.


This clarification was made by a Mass Communication professor and famous newspaper columnist, Farooq Kperogi, who spoke directly with Okinbaloye.


Kperogi said he had an exclusive conversation with the television anchor on Saturday morning, who confirmed that he is currently on vacation in the United States and remains an employee of Channels TV.


He quoted the popular broadcaster as saying “The whole story is fake news.”


This development puts to rest the rumours that had been circulating online since, suggesting that Okinbaloye had been let go by the television station.


Professor Kperogi’s confirmation has allayed the fears of fans and viewers who were concerned about the Politics Today’s anchor with Channels TV.


Okinbaloye is a respected journalist and anchor, known for his in-depth analysis and insightful reporting.
