 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye Not Sacked — Kperogi


Contrary to widespread speculation on social media, Seun Okinbaloye, a prominent anchor with Channels TV, has not been fired from the station.


This clarification was made by a Mass Communication professor and famous newspaper columnist, Farooq Kperogi, who spoke directly with Okinbaloye.


Kperogi said he had an exclusive conversation with the television anchor on Saturday morning, who confirmed that he is currently on vacation in the United States and remains an employee of Channels TV.


He quoted the popular broadcaster as saying “The whole story is fake news.”


This development puts to rest the rumours that had been circulating online since, suggesting that Okinbaloye had been let go by the television station.


Professor Kperogi’s confirmation has allayed the fears of fans and viewers who were concerned about the Politics Today’s anchor with Channels TV.


Okinbaloye is a respected journalist and anchor, known for his in-depth analysis and insightful reporting.
