  Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the pastor of Christ Embassy, has blamed the Covid-19 vaccine for the death of Pope Francis.  Oyakhilome said that when the coronavirus vaccines came out, Pope Francis was one of those who encouraged people to take the vaccine and he also took it to serve as an example.     The pastor, who has made no secret his distrust for the Covid-19 vaccine, added that he was against the pontiff's stance on taking the vaccine.    He stated that since the Pope took the vaccine, he has been sick and in and out of hospital.  "He was killed by the vaccine," Oyakhilome said boldly.  Edo 2024: Court affirms Asue Ighodalo as PDP candidate


Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday affirmed Dr. Asue Ighodalo as the duly nominated and authentic Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.

Omotosho while delivering judgment in the suit marked CS/469/24, held that Dr. Ighodalo was duly nominated at the 22 February primaries election of the PDP which held in Benin City.

He thereafter dismissed the case filed against his nomination by the Plaintiff, the impeached former deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.

Ighodalo emerged the governorship candidate of the PDP in a primary election held on 22 February 2024, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

He scored a total of 577 votes to beat his closest rival, Philip Shaibu and 10 other aspirants.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
