 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Edo 2024: Court affirms Asue Ighodalo as PDP candidate


Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday affirmed Dr. Asue Ighodalo as the duly nominated and authentic Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.

Omotosho while delivering judgment in the suit marked CS/469/24, held that Dr. Ighodalo was duly nominated at the 22 February primaries election of the PDP which held in Benin City.

He thereafter dismissed the case filed against his nomination by the Plaintiff, the impeached former deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.

Ighodalo emerged the governorship candidate of the PDP in a primary election held on 22 February 2024, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

He scored a total of 577 votes to beat his closest rival, Philip Shaibu and 10 other aspirants.
