 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

 Fans react as Davido storms Osun with Chioma's SUV wedding gift


Nigerian superstar singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has arrived in Osun State with the car he and his wife, Chioma, received as a wedding gift a month ago.

Recall that the couple was gifted a brand new SUV during their wedding in June, which many assumed was a present from Davido to Chioma.

Videos circulating online show Davido with the new GN8 MVP car at an event in Osun State.

Some clips capture his arrival in his hometown with heavy security, while others show him with his billionaire father, Deji Adeleke, his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, family members, and Yoruba actors like Laide Bakare and Sanyeri.

As expected, Osun State residents gathered around him, chanting his praises and his catchphrase, 001.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
