❤  Y2025 MINISTERIAL PRESS BRIEFING: LASG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO ENFORCE SANITATION LAWS … As KAI Arrests 6,939 Persons for Various Offences, Serves 192 Abatement Notices The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to enforce sanitation laws with the reinvigoration of the State Environmental Enforcement Agency of the Ministry, known as KAI, which has been in operation for a while to complement the functions of other Agencies in the Environment sector by ensuring strict adherence to sanitation laws by all residents..  GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU MOURNS SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH



Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu describes the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as shocking and a great loss to the country, his home State of Anambra and Lagos, where the deceased established most of his businesses.


The Governor describes the late Ifeanyi Ubah as an astute businessman and politician, who contributed his quota towards nation-building as representative of his people in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.


Governor Sanwo-Olu expresses his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his friends, colleagues and associates, especially the good people of Anambra South on the loss of their illustrious son.


The Governor also commiserates with President of the Senate, Dr. Godswill Akpabio, all the distinguished Senators and the entire National Assembly and the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, over the unfortunate demise of Senator Ubah.


He prays for the repose of the soul of the dead and for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
