 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  Kenyan President Cancels First Lady’s Office Budget, Official Trips Amid Protests 

President William Ruto of Kenya has announced key austerity measures aimed at addressing public discontent and cutting government expenditure amid protests in the East African country.


Budgets allocated to the offices of the First Lady and Second Lady have been eliminated, while a ban was also placed on the purchase of new cars for government use.


President Ruto further dissolved 47 state agencies and suspended all non-essential travel for government workers.


The president also announced that the number of his advisers has been reduced by 50%.


The decisions come after three weeks of anti-government protests, which have seen citizens demand greater transparency, accountability, and better governance.


President Ruto’s actions are seen as a step towards addressing these concerns and demonstrating fiscal responsibility.
