  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Man disappears after answering phone call in Abia


A young man aged 34 years, Mr Onyekachi Kingsley Ugochukwu, has been declared missing by his family in Isiala Akpaa Amaiyi village, Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State.


Ugochukwu, who is said to be fair in complexion, was said to have disappeared without trace after allegedly answering phone calls from an undisclosed person.


According to Onyekachi Alfred Ahuama, the father of the missing person, Ugochukwu was last seen on June 24 at about 5:PM when he picked a phone call from someone and has not been seen again.


The father, who expressed fear over the whereabouts of his son, appealed to anybody with information about Ugochukwu to contact the family.


The matter was yet to be confirmed by the Police as at the time of this report, as messages sent to the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, were not responded to.
