 FIRST IMPORTED EBOLA CASE: NIGERIA EVACUATES INDEX CASE TO SWITZERLAND AS CONTAINMENT MEASURES CONTINUE The Nigeria’s confirmed Ebola index case has been medically evacuated from Abuja to Switzerland, following approval by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate. The forty-two-year-old patient, whose case marked Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease case, was transferred alongside her spouse, who has remained asymptomatic. In a statement posted on his X handle, Professor Pate said the patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious and able to communicate, with laboratory test results approaching baseline levels. However, the Minister cautioned that the patient’s clinical improvement does not necessarily mean she is no longer infectious, stressing that strict public health protocols remain in place.  Man United coach interested in Super Eagles


Manchester United assistant coach Steve McClaren is interested in becoming the next coach of the Super Eagles.

A top official informed only SCORENigeria: “McClaren is interested in handling the Super Eagles.

“He is still assistant coach at Manchester United even after the recent re-organisation of the club’s backroom staff.”

The 63-year-old former England star was coach of the Three Lions of England between 2006 and 2007.

He has also coached several Premier League clubs like Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga, and FC Twente in Holland.
