A 53-year-old Indiana woman, Heather Cummings, is being charged alongside her son 24-year-old Clifton Cummings of Norfolk, VA.  The mother/son duo are accused of taking the life of Cleo Luozides inside of her Norfolk, VA senior living facility.

According to reports, Heather held down her mother while Clifton took her life using the strap of his bag to obstruct her breathing. Allegedly Heather told her mother to "just let go, it's for the best," while holding her down.

According to staff Cleo was last seen walking the halls and getting something to eat around 5 p.m. June 30th. However, when making rounds at 11:55 p.m., staff found Cleo deceased. Although both Heather and Clifton have confessed to the crime neither have given a motive for their actions.

Clifton has been ordered to undergo sanity evaluations to see if he is competent to stand trial. The judge has denied bond for both the mother and son. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept 23rd.
