 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana.   Music icon, Onyeka Onwenu, dies at 72


Legendary Nigerian singer and actress, Onyeka Onwenu has reportedly died at the age of 72.


She was said to have died on Tuesday night at the Reddington Hospital in Lagos after slumping at the birthday party of Mrs Stella Okoli.


An eyewitness who was at the party confirmed the news.


“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped.


“She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it,” the eyewitness said.


However, the deceased’s family has yet to announce her death as of press time.


Onwenu will be remembered for her music albums such as In The Morning Light and Dancing In The Sun.


She also featured in the Half of a Yellow Sun and Lions Heart, among others.
