  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher. As part of the effort to end the upsurge in thuggery, phone and female handbag snatching, and drug-related offences among youths in Kaduna State, the Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command CP A.D. Ali, has established a new outfit with the task of clamping down on all acts of social vices in the State


In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO,) Mansir Hassan and made available to the media in Kaduna, revealed that the unit which is referred to as the Anti Vice Unit has started operations and will be liaising with all the Divisions to diligently handle all cases of thuggery, phone snatching, drug and illicit substances consumption and peddling, possessing dangerous weapons, etc.


The commissioner stated that no fewer than 25 persons have been arrested across the metropolis for the aforesaid offenses with 16 among them arrested within the Rigasa axis for thuggery  and  having possession of dangerous weapons.


The Commissioner of Police Kaduna therefore, charged the new outfit to make Kaduna State, especially the metropolis safe for the populace by continuously denying these urchins any operating space.

He equally called on parents and guardians to warn their wards to desist from any act of delinquency, urging them to report any case of misconduct.
